The Western Master of Financial Economics (MFE) is a 16 month (4 term) course based Masters program. The Western MFE is offered on a full-time basis only with one admission intake per year - August. 

The interdisciplinary curriculum requires completion of 12 courses (9 required, 3 electives plus a Senior Seminar Series) and a summer internship or research project. Western MFE has successfully placed 100% of students in summer internships.


To graduate from the program, a student must have an overall average of at least 75% in courses taken in the program, with no grade below 60%. In addition, students must maintain an overall average of at least 70% each term in order to continue in good standing in the program.
