Entertainment/Travel Expenses (Dept/Workshops/Recruiting)

Just a reminder that credit card sales slips and/or restaurant bill stubs must include a detailed bill showing the restaurant's GST registration number and the GST charged on food and alcohol. Claims for air, rail and bus fares must be supported by the passenger's copy of the ticket. When you have taken a flight, a copy of your flight receipt, as well as your boarding passes must be handed in to receive full reimbursement. This is a financial services policy. If you are claiming mileage, please ensure that you include with your receipts a map from either MapQuest or Goggle Maps that shows the mileage between the two points. When claiming a hotel stay, a detailed listing of all charges, including taxes and any extras must be provided. Please remind any visitors to the Department of these requirements with regard to travel. For additional information, please refer to UWO Travel Policy 2.16 or see Karin in SSC 4066.

Power Shutdown

There will be a power shutdown in SSC on October 15th from 7:15 am – 7:30 am. This will affect the entire building and is required to perform repairs to the north sub station to prevent an unplanned outage.

SSC Crane Lift

There will be a crane lift on October 15th from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. This is required to lift roofing material to the 5th floor patio area.

Dean's Office Party Invitation

You are invited to the annual faculty gathering on Friday, October 17th in the faculty/staff lounge, room 3036 SSC from 3:30-5:00 pm.

Faculty Mentor Program - Workshop/Information Session

The Faculty Mentor Program will sponsor the third workshop/information session, "The Development of Graduate Students and Teaching Assistants: The Faculty's Role" on Friday, October 17, 2008, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. in the Teaching Support Centre, Room 122, the D.B. Weldon Library. Please register online.
