at 4:00 p.m., in Room 4161. All faculty and staff are invited to
attend.
Economics Annual Fall Party - Reminder
The Economics Annual Fall Party will be held at the Elsie
Perrin Williams Estate on Thursday, September 18, 2008. Cocktails
will begin at 5:00 p.m. with dinner at 6:00 p.m. Please drop off
your advance payment of $10 per person in the Economics main
office (SSC 4071) by Tuesday, September 16th. Children
under 14, new graduate students, new faculty members and their
families are not required to pay, but we would appreciate your
letting us know if you plan to attend.
All faculty, graduate students, staff and their families are
welcome!

on Friday, September 19th, 2008,
2:00-3:30 p.m.
in the Teaching Support Centre, Room
122, the D.B. Weldon Library. A Meet and Greet Reception will begin
at 2:00 p.m. followed by a panel discussion and question period on
"Preparation of the Research Grant Proposal".

Canadian Tax Foundation - 2008 Ontario Tax Conference
The Canadian Tax Foundation's
2008 Ontario
Tax Conference will be held October 20-21, 2008 at the Mississauga
Convention Centre, Mississauga, Ontario. This is the definitive tax
planning conference for advisers to owner-managed businesses. Early
bird registration deadline is September 26, 2008.

Call for Abstracts/Papers
The 2009 Business
& Economics Society International Conferences will be held in
Acapulco, Mexico, January 3-6, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and
in Hawaii (Kona), USA, July 15-19 at the Sheraton Hotel. The
deadlines for abstract submission and participation are
September 15, 2008 (Acapulco) and
March 15, 2009 (Hawaii).
