United Way

The Department of Economics has collected a total of $4,240 to date for the United Way. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far.

Faculty Mentor Program 2009-10 - Information Session

The fourth session in the Faculty Mentor Program series, Experience Mentoring, will be held on Friday, November 6, 2009, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. in the Teaching Support Centre, Room 122, The D.B. Weldon Library. This program is intended for faculty. Registration is restricted to full and part-time faculty members. Please register online.

The Western Award of Excellence - a Tribute to Exceptional Staff

Nominations for the 2010 Western Award of Excellence are now open. Faculty, staff, students & alumni are encouraged to nominate an individual staff member or a team of staff who make exceptional contributions to our campus community. This award is the highest level of campus-wide recognition for the exceptional performance of Western staff. The deadline for nominations is November 27, 2009.

Distinguished University Professorship - Call for Nominations

The Distinguished University Professorship program is Western's highest recognition for a faculty member. This award is presented in honour of sustained excellence in teaching, research and service during an outstanding scholarly career at Western. The deadline for nominations is January 29, 2010.
