Committee on Academic Policy (CAP) Minutes 2008-2009

The CAP Minutes for 2008-2009 are posted on the Economics Intranet. Your username and password is required to access this information. There will be a Motion at the Departmental Meeting to Pass the CAP Minutes as posted on the intranet. Please take a moment to review.

Economics Annual Fall Party - Reminder

The Economics Annual Fall Party will be held at the Elsie Perrin Williams Estate on Thursday, September 17, 2009. Cocktails will begin at 5:00 p.m. with dinner at 6:00 p.m. Please drop off your advance payment in the Economics main office (SSC 4071) by Friday, September 11th. All faculty, graduate students, staff and their families are welcome!

  • Faculty/Staff/Spouse $20 per person
  • Graduate Student/Spouse $10 per person
  • Children under 14 and new graduate students are not required to pay, however, please be sure to let us know if you plan to attend due to costs.

Canadian Economics Employment Exchange (CEEE)

The Canadian Economics Employment Exchange will take place on December 4-5, 2009 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto. The purpose of the CEEE is to facilitate the search of Canadian PhD candidates who are seeking employment and of the Canadian organizations who may be interested in hiring these candidates.

Allied Social Science Association (ASSA) Annual Meetings

The 2010 Annual Convention of the ASSA has been scheduled for January 3-5, 2010 in Atlanta, GA. The headquarters hotel is the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. Program information as well as information on hotels (i.e. prices and places to stay) will be available on the AEA website beginning September 15, 2009.

2010 Business & Economics Society International Conferences - Call for Papers

The 2010 Business & Economics Society International Conferences will be held January 6-9, 2010 at the Wyndham Hotel, Nassau, Bahamas and July 15-19, 2010 at the Divani Caravel Hotel in Athens, Greece. The submission deadlines are September 30, 2009 (Bahamas) and March 15, 2010 (Greece).
