UN High Level Panel on Climate Policy-Mitigation
The Centre for the Study of International Economic Relations (CSIER) is planning a submission of relevant research findings to the
UN High Level Panel on Climate Mitigation which is to report by
December 2011. Any Faculty who wish to contribute to this effort
should feel free to let Kun Peng
know of their interest and research.
Faculty Mentor Program 2010-11
The Faculty Mentor Program will sponsor the first session,
Preparing Research Grant Proposals: CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC,
on Friday, October 1, 2010, 2:00-3:30 p.m. in the Teaching Support
Centre, Room 122, the D.B. Weldon Library. The session will start
with a meet and greet reception from 1:30-2:00 p.m. Please register
online.
2010 ISHPSSB Off-Year Workshop
Integrating Complexity:
Environment and History is an interdisciplinary conference
consisting to two linked workshops in a 4-day event that will take
place October 7-10, 2010 at Western's Spencer-Ivey Centre. One of the
plenary speakers is Paul A. David from Stanford University.
Canadian Economics Employment Exchange (CEEE)
The Canadian
Economics Employment Exchange will take place on December 10-11,
2010 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto. The purpose of the CEEE is
to facilitate the search of Canadian PhD candidates who are seeking
employment and of the Canadian organizations who may be interested in
hiring these candidates.
2010 Ontario Tax Conference - Early Bird Registration
Deadline
The Canadian Tax Foundation's
2010 Ontario
Tax Conference will be held October 25-26, 2010 at the Doubletree
Hotel, 655 Dixon Road, Toronto. This is the definitive tax
planning conference for advisers to owner-managed businesses. The early
bird registration deadline is September 24, 2010.
2010 Atlantic Canada Economics Association Meetings - First
Call for Papers
The 2010 Atlantic Canada Economics Association Meetings will be
held October 22-24, 2010 at Cape Breton University, Sydney, Nova
Scotia.
The Role of Government in Regional Development in Atlantic Canada
is the theme of this year's
conference. The deadline for submission of abstracts is
October 1, 2010.
