Holiday Closure 2011

The University will close for the December holiday at the end of normal business hours on December 23, 2011 and will reopen on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.

The Western Award of Excellence - A Tribute to Exceptional Staff

Nominations for the 2012 Western Award of Excellence are now open. Faculty, staff, students and alumni are encouraged to nominate an individual staff member or a team of staff who make exceptional contributions to the campus community. This award is the highest level of campus-wide recognition for the exceptional performance of Western staff. The deadline for nominations is December 2, 2011.

Institute for Public Economics - Request for Proposal on Labour Shortages

The Institute for Public Economics (IPE) at the University of Alberta, invites innovative proposals from qualified academic researchers on the question of labour shortages in western Canada and, in particular, Alberta. The deadline for submissions is December 17, 2011.

International Symposium on Econometric Theory and Applications (SETA 2012) - Call for Papers

Organized by the Antai College of Economics and Management in Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), the 2012 International Symposium on Econometric Theory and Applications (SETA 2012) will be held in Shanghai, China, on May 19-21, 2012. The purpose of the conference is for researchers to exchange their ideas on econometric theory and applications The deadline for submission of papers is February 15, 2012.
