ATINER 5th International City Break Conference - Final Call for Papers and Participation

Academics and researchers are invited for a cross-disciplinary International City Break Conference: Business and Society in a Global Economy, to be held December 19-22, 2011 in Athens, Greece. This conference is hosted by the Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER). The deadline for submission of abstracts is November 7, 2011.

Association for Education Finance and Policy (AEFP) 37th Annual Conference - Call for Proposals

The Association for Education Finance and Policy (AEFP) encourages multidisciplinary research on education finance and policy issues and broad-based dialogue concerning policy, practice, and research. The program planning committee invites researchers, policymakers, and practitioners interested in education finance and policy to assume a variety of roles including presenters, chairs, and discussants at the AEFP 37th Annual Conference to be held in Boston, March 15-17, 2012. The deadline for proposal submissions is November 8, 2011. Please note that some travel grants are available for graduate students.

Canadian Transportation Research Forum - Scholarships for Graduate Study in Transportation 2012-2013

The Canadian Transportation Research Forum (CTRF) is offering Scholarships for Graduate Study in Transportation 2012-2013, worth between $4,000 and $6,000, to graduate students to encourage specialization in the transportation field. To be considered for a CTRF Scholarship, the applicant's research or study must be focused on one of the following three areas: Economics, Efficiency and Competitiveness in Transportation; Transportation Safety and Security; and Sustainable Transportation. The deadline for submission is December 31, 2011.

Canada Council for the Arts Molson Prizes 2012 - Call for Nominations

The Canada Council for the Arts and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada announce the opening of nominations for the 2012 Molson Prizes. Two prizes in the amount of $50,000 each are awarded annually to two distinguished individuals, one in the arts and the other in social sciences and humanities. The nomination deadline is December 1, 2011.
