Teaching Support Centre - Upcoming Events

Spring Perspectives on Teaching is a one-day conference, sponsored by the Teaching Support Centre that will take place on May 16, 2011, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Room SSC 2050 & 2032. Registration is free, but please register in advance online and indicate the session(s) you plan to attend.

Teaching to Learn is an intensive three-day Instructional Skills Workshop for Faculty (ISW) offered by the Teaching Support Centre, May 10-12, 2011, in the Teaching Support Centre, Room 122, The D.B. Weldon Library. Participants are required to attend the full three days. This program is restricted to full and part-time faculty. Enrollment is limited. Online registration.

The Teaching Support Centre and Instructional Technology Resource Centre invite participants to the Summer Teaching with Technology Institute, May 25-26, 2011, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Support Services Building SSB Room 4210 & 4220. Canadian Macroeconomics Study Group 25th Annual Meeting - Call for Papers

Hosted by the Department of Economics at the University of British Columbia and sponsored by the Bank of Canada Fellowship Program, the 25th Annual Canadian Macro Study Group meeting will be held at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, November 4-5, 2011. The CMSG invites papers in all areas of macroeconomics. The submission deadline is May 31, 2011.

CREE Study Group 21st Annual Meeting - Call for Papers

The 21st annual meeting of the Canadian Resource and Environmental Economics Study Group will be held at the Université Laval, Quebec City, Quebec, September 23-25, 2011. Submissions of abstracts on all topics of relevance to environmental and resource economics are invited. The submission deadline is May 31, 2011.

22nd (EC)2 Conference - Call for Papers

The European University Institute and the University of Florence will host the 2011 (EC)2 Conference, Econometrics for Policy Analysis: After the Crisis and Beyond, December 15-17, 2011 in Florence, Italy. (EC)2 is a series of annual international conferences on research in quantitative economics and econometrics. Theoretical and applied contributions are invited, particularly contributions focusing on econometric methods and models that assist in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of economic policy and performance during and after the recent global financial crisis. The submission deadline is September 25, 2011.

5th Annual Conference on the Political Economy of International Organizations - Call for Papers

Submissions are invited for the 5th Annual Conference on the Political Economy of International Organizations, to be held at Villanova University, Philadelphia, January 26-28, 2012. The conference brings together economists, political scientists and other scholars to address political-economy issues related to international organizations such as the World Trade Organization, the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the European Union, and other international organizations. Both empirical and theoretical papers will be considered. The submission deadline is September 30, 2011.
