Teaching Support Centre - New Faculty Orientation: Teaching at Western

The Teaching Support Centre will offer a day of orientation activities for new faculty members (full-time and part-time) on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Room 258, The D.B. Weldon Library. Please register in advance.

3M Teaching Fellowships - Call for Nominations

The Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) and 3M Canada established the 3M Teaching Fellowships to reward exceptional contributions to teaching and learning at Canadian universities. Nominating a deserving Faculty/Department member is strongly encouraged. A letter of support from the Provost must accompany nomination documentation. The deadline for receipt of nominations to the Office of the Vice-Provost (Academic Programs and Students) is August 17, 2011. The deadline for receipt of nominations to STLHE is August 31, 2011.

2011 Atlantic Canada Economics Association Meetings - First Call for Papers

The 2011 Atlantic Canada Economics Association Meetings will be held October 14-16, 2011 at the University of Prince Edward Island, Charlottetown, PE. "Lessons from the Crisis, Recovery and After" is the theme of this year's conference. The deadline for submission of abstracts is September 30, 2011.
