Department Meeting - Reminder

The first Department Meeting for the Academic Year 2011-2012 will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. in Room 4161. All faculty and staff are invited to attend.

Economics Fall Party - Reminder

The Department of Economics Fall Party will take place on Thursday, September 22nd at the Elsie Perrin Williams Estate on Windermere Road, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Dinner will be catered by Blackfriar’s. Cocktails at 5:00 p.m. and dinner at 6:00 p.m. Beverages are complimentary.

The Global Social Justice Journal - Call for Research Articles

The Global Social Justice Journal is a new Open Journal System published by the Centre for International Studies at Cape Breton University. The journal publishes research from disciplines including political science, philosophy, geography, economics, sociology, law, gender studies and indigenous studies. Submission of original research articles for publication are invited.

Royal Economic Society 2012 Annual Conference - Call for Papers, Call for Special Sessions and Call for Young Talent Nominations

The Royal Economic Society 2012 Annual Conference will take place March 26-28, 2012 at the University of Cambridge. The Royal Economic Society, one of the oldest and most prestigious economic associations in the world, is a professional association promoting the encouragement of the study of economic science in academic life, government service, banking, industry and public affairs.

Excellence Award in Global Economics Affairs 2012

The Kiel Institute for the World Economy announces the forthcoming Excellence Award in Global Economic Affairs 2012. The aim of this award is to build a community of bright young researchers in the area of global economic affairs. Economists up to the age of 35 are invited to apply for this award by submitting up to three published or unpublished papers in the field of global economic affairs. The application deadline is October 31, 2011.
