Multicultural Calendar

The 2012 Multicultural Calendar, provided by Equity & Human Rights Services, is available in online format only. The calendar provides detailed information on multifaith, multicultural and diversity-related holidays and observances. To access the calendar you will need your UWO username and password.

Summer Accommodation Program for Visiting International Faculty - Summer 2012

The Office of the Acting Vice-President (Research) has secured eight rooms in the Elgin Hall B&B for the period May 7 to August 18, 2012 for visiting international faculty. The cost of these rooms will be covered completely by the Office of the Acting Vice-President (Research) and are on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact Melissa Franco to reserve a room or rooms for visiting faculty this summer. Please be sure to include all of the pertinent details for your request.

Faculty Mentor Program 2011-12

The Faculty Mentor Program will sponsor the sixth workshop/information session entitled Development of a Teaching Dossier and a Teaching Philosophy on Friday, February 10, 2012, from 1:30-3:30 p.m., in Room 121, Weldon Library. This session is a continuation of the faculty mentor meeting held in December on "Tenure and Promotion Under the Collective Agreement, How the Process Works". Please register online.

Canadian Women Economists Network (CWEN) Young Researcher Prize - Call for Nominations

Established in 2010, the Canadian Women Economists Network (CWEN) Young Researcher Prize, worth $1,0000, is awarded every two years. The Prize is intended to recognize research excellence by young women economists and will be presented at the annual CEA Meetings. The deadline for nominations is January 31, 2012.

Canadian Economics Association (CEA) Annual Conference - Call for Papers

The 46th Annual Conference of the CEA will be held June 7-10, 2012 at the University of Calgary in Calgary, Alberta. The Canadian Economics Association would like to invite anyone wishing to present a paper at the 2012 Conference to submit an abstract by Friday, February 17, 2012.

Doug Purvis Memorial Prize - Call for Nominations

Nominations are requested for the 19th annual award of the Doug Purvis Memorial Prize. An award of $10,000 will be presented for a work of excellence relating to Canadian economic policy and published in 2011. The award is open to all forms of written media in which material relevant to Canadian economic policy appears. The deadline for nominations is March 15, 2012.
