Happy Thanksgiving Day

Monday, October 8, 2012 is a holiday. Western will be closed.

Fan Shutdown

SSC Supply Air Fans 101 and 102 will be shutdown October 11th, 1:00-4:30 pm.

Fall Convocation - Volunteers Needed

Students from the Faculty of Social Science will be graduating at the afternoon ceremony held on Friday, October 26th, at 3:00 pm.

Volunteers are required for the following positions:

  • 5 Hooders: should be members of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, as well as members of the graduating faculty and may be full-time or part-time faculty members
  • 2 Assistant Marshalls: may be full-time or part-time faculty members
  • 3 Orators: may be full-time or part-time faculty members and should have a clear, strong, confident speaking voice that will be understood by members of the audience
  • 10 Ushers: may be members of either faculty or staff

Hooders, Assistant Marshals, and Orators must be available for duties commencing at 1:45 pm in Room 15, Alumni Hall on October 26th. Ushers must be available at 1:00 pm in the front foyer of Alumni Hall.

Volunteers should let Jennifer Chambers know as soon as possible what s/he is volunteering to do.

First Annual Toronto Austrian Scholars Conference - Call for Papers - Deadline Extension

The Ludwig von Mises Institute of Canada will launch the First Annual Toronto Austrian Scholars Conference on November 9-10, 2012 at the University of Toronto, St. George Campus. The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to October 12, 2012.

International Development Research Centre (IDRC) - Fellowships and Awards

IDRC's Fellowship and Awards Program supports innovative research by Canadian and developing-country master's, Ph.D, and post-doctoral students and researchers to acquire practical and research-oriented knowledge.
