Faculty Mentor Program 2012-13 - Workshop
The Faculty Mentor Program will sponsor a workshop,
International Research Connections, on Friday, November 16,
2012, 1:30-3:30 p.m., in the Teaching Support Centre, Room 121, The
D.B. Weldon Library. This program is intended for faculty.
Registration is restricted to full and part-time faculty
members.
The Canada - U.S. Institute - Upcoming Lecture
The Canada - U.S. Institute will present a lecture by Dr. Geoffrey
Hale of the Department of Political Science, University of
Lethbridge,
So Near Yet So Far: The Public and Hidden Worlds of Canada-U.S.
Relations, on Wednesday, November 14 from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm in

The Western Award of Excellence - Nominations Open
Nominations for the
2013
Western Award of Excellence are now open. Faculty, staff,
students and alumni are encouraged to nominate an individual staff
member or a team of staff who make outstanding contributions to the
campus community. This award is the highest level of campus-wide
recognition for the exceptional performance of Western staff. The
deadline for nominations is November 30, 2012.
Canada Council for the Arts Molson Prizes 2013 - Call for Nominations
The Canada Council for the Arts and the Social Sciences and
Humanities Research Council of Canada announce the opening of nominations
for the
2013 Molson Prizes. Two prizes in the amount of $50,000 each are
awarded annually to two distinguished individuals, one in the arts
and the other in social sciences and humanities. The
nomination deadline is December 1, 2012.
Canadian Transportation Research Forum - Scholarships for
Graduate Study in Transportation 2013-2014
The Canadian Transportation Research Forum (CTRF) is offering
Scholarships for Graduate Study in Transportation 2013-2014,
worth between $4,000 and $6,000,
to graduate students
to encourage specialization in the transportation field. To be
considered for a CTRF Scholarship, the applicant's research or study
must be focused on one of the following three areas: Economics,
Efficiency and Competitiveness in Transportation; Transportation
Safety and Security; and Sustainable Transportation. The deadline
for submission is January 31, 2013.
4th International Workshop on Applied Economics of Education
- Call for Papers
Organized by Lancaster University (UK) and the Universtà
Magna-Graecia (Italy), the 4th
International Workshop on Applied Economics of Education (IWAEE)
will be held in Catanzaro, Italy, June 23-25, 2013. Contributions
across all applied areas of education economics will be considered.
The abstract or full paper submission deadline is
March 1, 2013.
