Family Day

The Department of Economics will be closed for Family Day on Monday, February 20, 2012.

Fan Shutdown and Bridge Closure

SSC Fan 102 will be off on Tuesday, February 21, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. There will be no air circulation and it may feel cool.

The University Drive bridge will be closed to vehicles on Sunday, February 26, 7:00 am - noon.

Mental Health @ Western - New Website

Mental Health @ Western is a new website to help faculty, staff, students and their families with information on mental health services and resources available on campus.

Community Service Learning (CSL) Award - Call for 2012 Applications

Awarded by Community Service Learning @ Western in The Student Success Centre, the aim of the Community Service Learning (CSL) Award is to support faculty in creating opportunities for students to connect academic course content with community service that contributes to student learning, and local and international community development. Three awards, up to $2000 each, will be awarded in 2012. The application deadline is April 2, 2012.

Rimini Centre for Economics Analysis (RCEA) Macro Workshop - Call for Papers

The Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis will hold a conference entitled "After (?) The Storm: Lessons from the Great Recession" at the Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis, Rimini, Italy, May 24-25, 2012. The deadline for submission of abstracts is March 15, 2012.

CLSRN Session at Rimini Conference - Call for Papers

The Canadian Labour Market and Skills Researcher Network (CLSRN) is organizing a session at the Rimini Conference in Economics and Finance (RCEF), at the University of Toronto, August 16-18, 2012. The theme of this year's conference is Cities, Open Economies, and Public Policy. Submissions from all CLSRN mandated themes are welcome, with a slight preference for papers related to the broad conference theme. The paper submission deadline is March 21, 2012.
