Annual Departmental Planning - Submission Reminder

The deadline for submission of the Annual Departmental Planning document is Friday, March 9, 2012, however, the Chair has requested that you please get this in as soon as possible. Please return Administrative Arrangements and Planning Indicators to Sharon and Teaching Preferences to Jeremy.

TM Brown Thesis Award

Founder's Day Staff and Faculty Coffee Break

Western will celebrate Founder's Day on March 7th by remembering the contributions of our Western's founders as well as celebrating our students, staff, faculty and alumni and their accomplishments. Join colleagues for a staff and faculty coffee break at The Great Hall, Somerville House, on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, 2:00-2:30 p.m. Please register online by March 2, 2012.

John Rae Prize - Call for Nominations

The John Rae Prize, awarded every two years by the Canadian Economics Association, recognizes the best research record in Canada during the previous five years and has a value of $10,000. Nominations are open but are normally made by Chairs of Canadian Economics departments. Nominations may be submitted by email. The nomination deadline is April 6, 2012.

ATINER 7th Annual International Symposium - Second Call for Papers and Participation

The Economics Research Unit of the Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER) will hold the 7th Annual International Symposium on Economic Theory, Policy and Applications in Athens, Greece on July 23-26, 2012. Papers from all areas of Economics are welcome. The deadline for submission of abstracts has been extended to March 12, 2012.

Third International Conference on the Constructed Environment - Call for Papers

The Third International Conference on the Constructed Environment will be held October 25-26, 2012 at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. This cross-disciplinary conference is a forum to bring together researchers, teachers and practitioners to discuss the past character and future shape of the built environment. The deadline for submission of papers is March 22, 2012.

The 23rd Jerusalem School in Economic Theory

The Institute for Advanced Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem will hold the 23rd Jerusalem School in Economic Theory - Intertemporal Public Economics, June 18-27, 2012. The school is intended for advanced graduate and post-doctoral students. Applications should be made online. The deadline for applications is April 1, 2012.
