The Department of Economics will be closed for Family Day on

VoIP Telephone System Upgrade
ITS will be upgrading the VoIP Telephone System on Sunday,
February 17, 2013 beginning at 3:00 am. There will be a 5 to 10
minute period when your phone will not work between 8:15 and
9:30 am.

Fourth International Conference on the Constructed
Environment - Call for Papers
The
Fourth International Conference on the Constructed Environment
will be held on October 4-5, 2013 at Universidade Nova de Lisboa,
Lisbon, Portugal. This cross-disciplinary conference is a forum
to bring together researchers, teachers and practitioners to
discuss the past character and future shape of the built
environment. The deadline for submission of papers is
February 21, 2013.
Canadian Health Economic Study Group - Call for Papers
The 12th
Annual Canadian Health Economics Study Group (CHESG) meeting
will take place May 22-23, 2013 at the University of Manitoba,
Winnipeg, Manitoba. This day and a half conference will bring
together economists with an interest in theoretical or empirical
economic analysis of issues related to health or health care.
The submission deadline is March 1, 2013.
London Symposium on Climate Change - Call for Papers
The
London Symposium on Climate Change will be held at the
Oxford and Cambridge Club, London, UK from June 22-24, 2013.
This interdisciplinary conference is an opportunity for
academics and policy makers from the areas of economics,
engineering, health, law, trade, agriculture, nutrition,
political science, philosophy, education and the physical and
chemical sciences to present papers and engage in discourse
relevant to global warming and its effects on human welfare and
progress. The deadline for abstract submissions is
April 20, 2013.

Workshop 2013 - Call for Papers
The Stanford Institute for Theoretical Economics (SITE)
annual
Summer Workshop
2013
will consist of eight individual segments beginning June 20, 2013 that
will take place at the University of Stanford. Submissions from junior
faculty and scholars (defined as first or second year full-time
faculty) as well as postdoctoral scholars and advanced graduate
students will be given priority but are also welcome from more senior
faculty. The deadline for applications for Segments 1 and 2 is
March 1, 2013, Segment 3 is
April 1, 2013, Segment 4, 5 and 6 is
May 1, 2013 and Segment 7 and 8 is
June 1, 2013.
