Year-End Expenses - Entertainment and Travel - Workshop

Year-end for the budget year 2012-2013 is April 30, 2013. Faculty with outstanding entertainment and travel expenses for workshop visitors should forward all receipts to Karin as soon as possible.

Promotion and Tenure Review - Notice of Solicitation

The Promotion and Tenure Committee will conduct a review of promotion to rank of Associate Professor and Granting of Tenure for Professor Gregory Pavlov and Professor Youngki Shin. Anyone wishing to make a written submission can do so until the Promotion and Tenure files close on Friday, September 13, 2013.

Copies of the vitae and publications for Professors Pavlov and Shin will be available shortly in the Main Office to all faculty members and may be borrowed from Sharon Phillips, Jennifer Hope or Debra Merrifield.

Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Association Awards - Call for Nominations

Each year OCUFA recognizes outstanding teachers and academic librarians in Ontario universities through awards. OCUFA Teaching and Academic Librarianship Awards are intended to recognize all levels of instruction including graduate, undergraduate, continuing education, faculty development as well as proficiency in teaching that may extend beyond the classroom, the laboratory or the faculty member's office. Activities such as course design, curriculum development, organization of teaching programs, and other significant forms of leadership are important contributions to the instructional process. Those who excel in any of these are eligible for the OCUFA Teaching Awards. The deadline for receipt of nominations is May 21, 2013.

Canadian Macroeconomics Study Group 27th Annual Meeting - Call for Papers

The Department of Economics at Ryerson University will host the 27th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Macroeconomics Study Group, on November 8-9, 2013. The CMSG invites papers in all areas of macroeconomics. The submission deadline is May 31, 2013.

CREE Study Group 23rd Annual Meeting - Call for Papers

The Canadian Resource and Environmental Economics (CREE) Study Group Annual Conference 2013 will be held at Brock University, St. Catherines on September 27-29, 2013. Submissions of abstracts or papers on topics of relevance to environmental, energy and resource economics are invited. The submission deadline is Friday, June 7, 2013.

ISEO Summer School

Organized by the Institute of Studies on Economics and Occupation (I.S.E.O.) the I.S.E.O. Summer School, Redrawing the Map of Global Economy, will be held June 15-22, 2013 in Brescia, Italy. This special 10th edition of the I.S.E.O. Summer School will feature five Nobel Laureates. Partial scholarships are still available. The registration deadline is April 22, 2013.
