Social Science Centre After Hours Access

There is no longer key access to the Social Science Centre. The perimeter doors have all been changed to the Chubb Card Access system and some doors are now exit only. Internal doors previously on the ECS system have also been converted to the Chubb Card Access system. Please ensure your Western One card has HID iCLASS on the back bottom left corner.

Annual Asbestos Re-Assessment Survey

The annual asbestos re-assessment survey will be done June 15-24, 2013. Employees of Pinchin Environmental Ltd. will be going into offices to verify the data for the asbestos data base. This is done annually as per legislation.

Bank of Canada - Fellowship Program

The purpose of the Bank of Canada Fellowship Program is to foster excellence in research and analysis, and to develop partnerships with experts outside the Bank of Canada in areas important to the Bank's mandate: macroeconomics, monetary economics, international finance, financial markets and institutions, financial stability and regulation, labour economics, and economic growth. There are two awards available through the Fellowship Program:

The application deadline for both awards is November 15, 2013.

The Center for International Studies and Research (CERIUM) - Summer Schools 2013

The Center for International Studies and Research at the University of Montreal will hold the 2013 International Summer Schools from July 8-13, 2013. These six intensive day-long seminars covering major topics of international news, led by a dozen experts, are open to graduate students, interested citizens, NGO members, business people and other members of the public.

Please submit a hard copy (pdf copy by email) of all research grant applications (including contracts), internal and external, to Karin for review and subsequent Chair approval/signature prior to electronically submitting your applications.

In addition, completion and electronic submission of a Proposal via ROLA must be filled out be all applicants to obtain institutional approvals for their research grant/contract applications. Please see Karin if  you need assistance.
