Faculty Mentor Program 2009-10 - Panel Session

The Faculty Mentor Program will sponsor the first panel session on Friday, September 18th, 2009, 2:30-3:30 p.m. in the Teaching Support Centre, Room 122, the D.B. Weldon Library. A Meet and Greet Reception will begin at 1:30 p.m. followed by the panel discussion and question period on "Preparation of the Research Grant Proposal". Please register online.

Bank of Canada - Fellowship Program

The Bank of Canada Fellowship Program has been established to encourage leading edge research and to develop expertise in Canada in a number of areas critical to the Bank's mandate: macroeconomics, monetary economics, international finance, and the economics of financial markets and institutions. There are two awards available through the Fellowship Program:

61st Annual Tax Conference - Registration Open

The 61st Annual Tax Conference will be held Sunday, November 22 to Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto. The Canadian Tax Foundation’s premiere conference provides a forum for senior practitioners and government officials to share their experience and discuss their reactions to current tax issues and challenges. The early bird registration deadline is Friday, October 30, 2009.

13th IZA European Summer School in Labor Economics

The Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) will hold its 13th Summer School in Labor Economics on May 15 - May 21, 2010 at the conference center of Deutsche Post at the Ammersee Lake (near Munich) in Bavaria, Germany. The objective of the Summer School is to bring together a large number of PhD students and senior lecturers to study new areas in labor economics and to discuss their own research ideas. Applications to participate should be submitted by January 30, 2009.
