Notice from Human Resources - 2010
Minimum Wage Increases
The March 31, 2010 increases to the Ontario Minimum Wage rates will be
implemented centrally by Salary Administration. It is not necessary to submit paperwork for these
wage changes. For hourly paid employees, the minimum wage increases
will take effect on March 28, 2010. These new rates must be used for
any appointments that are effective on or after March 31, 2010.

morning session is specifically designed for academic leaders at the
level of Deans, Associate Deans, Department Chairs and School

Douglas D. Purvis Memorial Prize - Call for Nominations
Nominations are requested for the 17th annual award to honour the memory of the late
Douglas D. Purvis.
An award of $10,000 is to be presented for a work of excellence
relating to Canadian economic policy and published in 2009. The
award is open to all forms of written media in which material
relevant to Canadian economic policy appears. The deadline for
nominations is March 15,
2010.

Papers
The Rimini Conference in
Economics and Finance
(formerly called Small Open Economies in a Globalized World, SOEGW),
The Canadian Economy's 15
Golden years in the Global Context,
will take place June 10-13, 2010 At the Rimini campus of the
University of Bologna, Rimini, Italy.
The conference is a biennial international meeting assembling a group
of leading economists to present and discuss their work at the cutting
edge of economic research. The submission deadline is
April 2, 2010.
