American Economic Association's Committee on Economic
Education - Call for Proposals
The American Economic Association's Committee on Economic Education
invites proposals for a
poster session on
"Teaching Techniques that Promote Active
Learning" at the ASSA Meetings, January 7-9, 2011 in
Denver, CO. The session offers
opportunities for presenters to share new teaching ideas and talk
directly with participants and is devoted to active learning
strategies across the economics curriculum. Proposals limited to two
pages are due by May 15, 2010.
NBER Universities' Research Conference - Call for Papers
The National Bureau of Economic Research, in conjunction with the
Bureau for Research and Economic Analysis of Development (BREAD),
will host a Universities' Research
Conferences on
Economic Development, September 24-25, 2010,
in Cambridge, MA. Priority will be given to empirical research or
theoretical work with direct empirical applications. The deadline for submissions is
July 12, 2010.
4th Annual Conference on the Political Economy of
International Organizations - Call for Papers
Submissions are invited for the
4th Annual Conference on the Political Economy of International
Organizations, to be held at the University of Zurich and ETH
Zurich, Switzerland, on January 27-29, 2011. The conference brings
together economists, political scientists and other scholars to
address political-economy issues related to international
organizations such as the World Trade Organization, the United
Nations, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the
European Union, and other international organizations. Both empirical
and theoretical papers will be considered. The submission deadline is
September 20, 2010.
