Faculty Mentor Program 2010-11

The Faculty Mentor Program will sponsor the sixth workshop/information session entitled Development of a Teaching Dossier and a Teaching Philosophy on Friday, February 4, 2011, 1:30 - 3:30 pm, Room 121, Weldon Library. This session is a continuation of the faculty mentor meeting held in December on "Tenure and Promotion Under the Collective Agreement, How the Process Works". Please register online.

Teaching Support Centre - Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW)

The Teaching Support Centre will offer a three-day Instructional Skills Workshop on February 23-25, 2011 at the Teaching Support Centre, Room 122, Weldon Library. This program is intended for faculty. Enrollment is limited, please register online.

Fellowship in Teaching Innovation - Call for 2011 Applications

The purpose of the Fellowship in Teaching Innovation is to encourage faculty members (full-time and part-time) to pursue teaching innovations at Western. Projects may take many forms, such as initiatives involving the novel incorporation of educational technology into classroom settings or developing new strategies for student involvement. The deadline for submission of applications for this $10,000 award is March 1, 2011.

EcoMod 2011 International Conference on Economic Modeling - Call for Papers

The EcoMod2011 International Conference on Economic Modeling will be hosted by the University of the Azores, Ponta Delgada, Azores, Portugal, June 29 - July 1, 2011. The goal of the conference is to promote the exchange of ideas among economists conducting quantitative analysis for policy and decision-making in the public and private sector. The conference will cover all areas of applied modeling in economics. The deadline for submission of abstracts is January 31, 2011.

23rd European Association of Labour Economists (EALE) Conference - Call for Papers

The Department of Economics at the University of Cyprus will host the 23rd Annual EALE Conference on September 22-24, 2011, at the Coral Beach Hotel & Resort, Pafos (Paphos), Cyprus. The deadline for submission of papers is February 1, 2011.

Charles G. Koch Summer Fellow Program - Summer Internship

The Charles G. Koch Summer Fellow Program is an intensive ten-week paid summer internship program in public policy. Based in Washington, DC, this program is open to undergraduates, graduate students and recent graduates and offers placements in two public policy tracks. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2011.

CESifo Venice Summer Institute 2011 - Call for Papers

CESifo will host its twelfth Summer Institute at the Venice International University, San Servolo, Italy, July 18-23, 2011. The Institute brings together international economists working on economic policy topics for workshops, panel meetings and discussions. The deadline for submission of papers is March 30, 2011.
