Symposium on Labor Market Frictions and the Business Cycle

Jointly hosted by HEC Montreal, CIRPEE-Centre Interuniversitaire sur le Risque, les Politiques Economiques et l'Emploi, and MacroMontreal, a Symposium on Labor Market Frictions and the Business Cycle will take place on Thursday, May 30th, 2013 at HEC Montréal in conjunction with the 2013 Annual Meeting of the Canadian Economic Association. The meeting will bring together researchers working on empirical and theoretical aspects of macroeconomics, focusing on the impact on business cycle and economic policy of search frictions in the labor market, workers heterogeneity and worker-employer matching. The registration deadline is May 13, 2013.

RCEA First Luciano Chicchi Memorial Lecture in Economics and Finance

The Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis will hold the First Luciano Chicchi Memorial Lecture in Economics and Finance, Capital Versus Labor Income Taxation with Innovation Led Growth, on May 24, 2013, at Aula Magna, University of Bologna in Rimini, Via Anghera 22, Rimini, Italy.

7th Annual Conference on The Political Economy of International Organizations - Call for Papers

Princeton University will host the 7th Annual Conference on The Political Economy of International Organizations, on January 16-18, 2014. The conference brings together economists, political scientists and other scholars to address political-economy issues related to international organizations such as the World Trade Organization, the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the European Union, and also other international organizations that have received less attention in the academic literature. Both empirical and theoretical papers will be considered. The submission deadline is August 31, 2013.

Journal of Social Sciences - Call for Papers/Research Work/Citations/Thesis/book Review

The Journal of Social Sciences (COES&RJ-JSS) has issued a call for the Vol. 2, No. 3, July 2013 issue. The Journal of Social Sciences is a peer-reviewed, open access and multidisciplinary international research journal that is published quarterly by Centre of Excellence for Scientific and Research Journalism. This academic research journal addresses both applied and theoretical issues of social science.

Please submit a hard copy (pdf copy by email) of all research grant applications (including contracts), internal and external, to Karin for review and subsequent Chair approval/signature prior to electronically submitting your applications.

In addition, completion and electronic submission of a Proposal via ROLA must be filled out be all applicants to obtain institutional approvals for their research grant/contract applications. Please see Karin if  you need assistance.
