Bank of Canada - Fellowship Program

The Bank of Canada Fellowship Program has been established to encourage leading edge research and to develop expertise in Canada in a number of areas critical to the Bank's mandate: macroeconomics, monetary economics, international finance, and the economics of financial markets and institutions. There are two awards available through the Fellowship Program:

The application deadline for both awards is November 15, 2009.

American Economic Association's Committee on Economic Education - Call for Proposals

The American Economic Association's Committee on Economic Education invites proposals for a poster session on "Teaching Techniques that Promote Active Learning" at the 2010 Atlanta, Georgia ASSA meetings. The session offers opportunities for presenters to share new teaching ideas and talk directly with participants and is devoted to active learning strategies across the economics curriculum. Proposals limited to two pages are due by May 15, 2009.

ATINER 4th International Symposium on Economic Theory, Policy and Applications - 2nd Call for Papers and Participation

The Economics Research Unit of the Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER) will hold an International Symposium on Economic Theory, Policy and Applications in Athens, Greece, August 3-6, 2009. Papers from all areas of Economics are welcome. The deadline for submission of abstracts is March 30, 2009.
