Annual Spring Departmental Meeting

The Annual Spring Departmental Meeting will be held on Monday, April 30th at 3:00 p.m., in Room 4161 SSC. All faculty and staff are invited to attend.

University Students' Council - Teaching Honour Roll Certificate

Congratulations to David Rivers and Greg Pavlov on receiving a USC Teaching Honour Roll Certificate for the 2010-2011 academic year. This award is given to instructors who receive an accumulated average of 6.3 or higher out of 7 on the first 14 questions of the Western Senate-mandated course and teacher evaluations.

Annual Fire Alarm Bell Test

The Annual Fire Alarm Bell Test for Social Science will be March 27th, sometime between 6:00-8:00 a.m. During the test the bells will sound but there is no need to leave the building. However, treat all fire alarms
outside of these times as REAL and EVACUATE THE BUILDING.

2012 Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences - Invitation

The 2012 Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences is brought to you by the Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences, in partnership with Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo. the Congress runs from May 26 to June 2. Online registration is now open. The early-bird registration deadline is March 31, 2012.

Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis (RCEA) Finance Workshop - Call for Papers

The RCEA invites papers for the 4th Rimini Finance Workshop to be held April 28, 2012 in Rimini, Italy. Papers in all areas of quantitative finance and financial econometrics are welcome. The deadline for submission of abstracts has been extended to March 31, 2012.

13th Trento Summer School

The Computable and Experimental Economics Laboratory (CEEL) program in Adaptive Economic Dynamics will offer the 13th Trento Summer School: Intensive Course in Market Design: Theory and Pragmatics, from June 25 - July 6, 2012 at Hotel Villa Madruzzo in Trento, Italy. The Trento Summer Schools are intended for advanced graduate students and post-doctoral scholars in economics, computer science and operations research. The deadline for applications is March 31, 2012.
