Program Details


The Western Master of Financial Economics (MFE) is a 16-month (4 term) course-based Masters program. The Western MFE is offered on a full-time basis only with one admission intake per year in September. 

The interdisciplinary curriculum requires completion of 12 courses (9 required, 3 electives plus  Senior Seminar and Professional Development Series) and a summer internship. Western MFE has successfully placed 100% of students in internships including academic research positions. 

Progression

To graduate from the program, a student must have an overall average of at least 75% in courses taken in the program, with no grade below 60%. In addition, students must maintain an overall average of at least 70% each term in order to continue in good standing in the program. The summer internship is required.
