Internship
Experiential learning is an important part of the MFE program. During the summer term (May-August), students are required to complete an internship in the finance industry, which allows for the application of course work on the job. Credit for the internship is earned for 10-16 weeks of employment with a relevant employer.
Each student is responsible for securing their own internship; however, students receive support from the MFE Program Director, the MFE Program Officer, and the MFE Career Services Officer as they conduct their job search. The MFE program helps each student by providing 1-on-1 consultation with the MFE Career Services Officer, review of application material, mock interviews, networking events, guest speakers, and a Professional Development Series (runs concurrently with courses).
