Doug Purvis Memorial Prize - Call for Nominations

Nominations are requested for the 18th annual award of the Doug Purvis Memorial Prize. An award of $10,000 is to be presented for a work of excellence relating to Canadian economic policy and published in 2010. The award is open to all forms of written media in which material relevant to Canadian economic policy appears. The deadline for nominations is March 15, 2011.

Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis (RCEA) Upcoming Workshops - Call for Papers

The Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis invites papers for the following workshops to be held at the University of Bologna, Rimini, Italy:

Rimini Finance Workshop - May 30, 2011. Papers in all areas of quantitative finance and financial econometrics are welcome.

 Rimini Bayesian Workshop - May 31 - June 1, 2011. The workshop is intended for theoretical work or applied work with methodological contribution in Bayesian econometrics, however, any Bayesian paper with an econometric focus will be considered.

 Rimini Time Series Workshop - June 2-3, 2011. Papers in all areas of time series econometrics are welcome.

The deadline for submission of papers is April 11, 2011.

Advances in Business Cycles and Economic Growth Analysis Workshop - May 21-22, 2011. The deadline for submission of abstracts is March 31, 2011.

NBER Trans-Atlantic Public Economic Seminar (TAPES) - Call for Papers

The National Bureau of Economic Research jointly with the Centre for Business Taxation at Oxford University, will hold the next Trans-Atlantic Public Economics Seminar, Business Taxation, on June 20-22, 2012 in Oxford, England. Emphasis will be on empirically oriented research, but applied theoretical research is also welcome. Preference will be given to papers by younger authors. The deadline for submissions is October 1, 2011.
