Nick Bedard

Assistant Professor

Research interests / Specializations: My research is focused on mechanism design with an emphasis on its applications to market design. Mechanism design develops the rules or institutions needed to implement a given objective in theory. Market design uses this theory, as well as tools from operations research, computer science and economic experiments, to engineer (i.e. test and build) real-world implementations; for example, auctions to sell radio spectrum licenses to firms.
