Institutes and Centres
Western Economics has built an international research presence in several key research areas. These areas are supported by our Institutes, Centres, and Groups. The Centre for Human Capital and Productivity (CHCP) is home to a world renowned group of empirical researchers working on human capital and productivity from both a labour economics and an industrial organization perspective. The Centre for Financial Innovation and Risk Management (CFIRM) brings together experts from academia, financial firms, businesses, and regulatory agencies in order to maximize information about the problems pertaining to financial innovation and risk management and to synthesize the various approaches toward solving them.
