"The economics program has played a crucial role in shaping my career path by broadening my perspective beyond the financial markets. Its wide-ranging curriculum has enabled me to understand the subtle and complex relationships between financial and economic factors, allowing me to identify causal links and analyze them critically. Through class presentations, I have significantly improved my oral communication skills, which now allow me to deliver logical, well-structured presentations in the workplace. Additionally, the process of writing my thesis has greatly enhanced my research and information-gathering abilities. The program also gave me the opportunity to participate in the Bank of Canada’s economics paper competition, which further enriched my academic experience. Overall, it has been a transformative and valuable part of my university journey." Click on picture to listen to Tianyuan's presentation on her career progression.
